Experience the history and majesty of class A and B tall ships on the shores of the Salisbury Beach State Reservation at the 2nd annual Merrimack River Maritime Festival, July 25 and 26, 2009. A celebration of the region’s rich maritime history, the Merrimack River Maritime Festival includes tours of three ships that are part of Sail Massachusetts and a landside festival including interactive demonstrations, activities for children, a live concert and fireworks display. Last July, the lofty sails and wooden bows of the Mystic,
Roseway and Spirit of Carolina thrilled thousands as they dropped
anchor for tours and visits in the Merrimack River, as Salisbury
hosted its first Tall Ships Maritime Festival. This year, the Salisbury
Beach Partnership again brings three tall-masted vessels to the
shores of the Merrimack over the weekend of July 24 to 26. Read
